DOSSy is a research project, partly funded by the Ambient Assisted Living Joint Programme Call 4 (AAL JP), initiated by the EU to research the application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) under the Guideline "ICT for aging well".
Call 4 of this programme focuses especially on "ICT-based Solutions for Advancement of Older Persons’ Mobility".
Taking into account, that outdoor activities become a more and more important part of the lives of elderly people it stands for a self-determined life to be able to practise outdoor activities irrespective of one’s age and constitution. A commercial roll out of the developed system can contribute to a better health, enabling elderly people to keep up their mobility.
The DOSSy Consortium consists of 7 companies from Switzerland, Germany and UK. Each partner brings in special compentencies in research, content, development and requirements engineering:
